Maite Quinn is a Managing Director at Closed Loop Partners. Her areas of focus are in identifying industry trends, deal generation, due diligence and portfolio management. Ms. Quinn has been a leading executive in the recycling industry for over 15 years. Most recently, she was the Director of Business Development and Sales for Sims Municipal Recycling, the largest Metal and Electronics recycler in the world and the operator of one of the largest and most advanced municipal recycling facilities in the world, located in New York City.
Ms. Quinn was responsible for business development, purchasing of third party commodities and marketing the metal, glass, plastics and paper coming from the Sims’ facilities. Prior to Sims, Ms. Quinn was the President of Sprint Recycling. At the time, Sprint was the largest private hauling and processing company in New York City. While at Sprint, Ms. Quinn was named a “Top 40 under 40” businessperson by Crain’s New York Business in 2007. Earlier in her career, as a television producer, she produced and directed over 40 hours of documentary television for ABC, CBS, Discovery, Nickelodeon and more.
Ms. Quinn serves on the board of the Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR), where she is the Chairperson of the MRF Council, the National Recycling Coalition, Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI,) where she Co-Chairs the MRF Council, the Association of New Jersey Recyclers and the Westfield Green Team. Ms. Quinn has a BA from Rutgers University and an MBA from Baruch College.
