Jurgen Van Gorp

Started in January 2000 as Junior Buyer for Metallo Belgium in France, where I got schooled in the trade of the various nonferrous metal scraps & byproducts.

The focus today lies entirely on Cu, Sn & Pb bearing scraps & byproducts.  I have been fortunate to be at the forefront of the development of newer markets and networks for Metallo Group by pushing and growing our European footprint into a global one.

As such, I created the North American market for Metallo Group in the course of the last 15 years and succeeded with my colleagues in positioning the Metallo Group as a powerhouse in International Recycling.

The intense travelling and regular attendance to various recycling meetings worldwide resulted in extra knowledge & insights so that the last 4 years I have been mainly involved in the business development activities of the Metallo Group as well as the reorganization & finetuning of our commercial team.  I reside as representative for the Benelux countries at the nonferrous board of the Bureau of International Recycling and besides all of this I am avid fan of extreme hiking, western style horse riding and collecting vinyl records.
