Andy McKee, originally from Cincinnati, OH, has spent over a decade in the scrap metal industry. He started his career with Cincinnati based, The David J. Joseph Company, serving in the role of Metals Trader. In 2009, Andy moved on to join Evermore Recycling, a joint venture between Alcoa and Novelis, in Nashville, TN. With Evermore, Andy served both domestic and international markets procuring UBC. Upon the JV ending, he joined Novelis in Atlanta, GA. While with Novelis, Andy served as the Recycling Manager for Novelis North America. In that role, he oversaw the purchasing of over 1 billion pounds of scrap annually. In 2017, Schupan & Sons, Inc., added Andy as President of its Materials Trading division. Schupan, based in Kalamazoo, MI, is a family-owned scrap metal processing company in its 51st year of business. With Schupan, Andy oversees the commercial activity of the business from the Chicago, IL trading office. Schupan provides deposit grade UBC, plastics, industrial aluminums, post-consumer aluminums, steel, red metals, e-scrap, and other scrap commodities to hundreds of consumers all around the world.
Andy was born and raised in Middletown, Ohio. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2000 with a degree in Political Science. Andy currently resides in Chicago, IL with his fiancée, Emily, and their two dogs, Mac and Bruno.
