Amy Strouse

Amy Strouse is an independent consultant advising senior executives on strategy, investments, and adjacent markets.  Amy is also an experienced facilitator, guiding teams through planning, decision making, and idea generation and evaluation using collaborative human-centered design techniques.  Recent HCD exercises that Amy has facilitated include:

  • Organizational design and mandate development for a new internal strategy group at a major defense contractor,
  • Idea generation and selection for future investment at a large non-profit corporation focused on the civilian services sector,
  • Future visioning for challenges client’s key customer may face, and initial solutioning for selected challenges.

In addition to these innovative sessions, Amy has led strategic planning, capture support (black hat, red team, win theme, etc), and adjacent market discussion sessions for clients for over a decade.  Amy’s workshops are focused, interactive, and fun and rewarding for participants.

Additionally, Amy is an elected member of the Middletown Township Board of Supervisors and remains a senior advisor for Avascent, a management consulting firm. At Avascent Amy advises senior executives on strategy and business operations in the federal, state, and commercial healthcare markets.

She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Oklahoma where she earned a B.A. in economics and international business.  She received her master’s in international finance and international relations at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. Amy later earned a master’s certificate in healthcare information technology from George Washington University. She further serves her local community as a board member of the Bucks County Women’s Advocacy Coalition (BCWAC) and through groups such as Toys for Tots, the United Way of Bucks County Knock Out Hunger program, and as a presenter for the annual #girlSTEM conference for middle school girls in Bucks County. She and her husband Kevin reside in Langhorne and have three children: seven year old Walter, five year old Charlotte, and one year old Julia.
